The People behind Mass Bay Movers

Sal Barresi III founded Mass Bay Movers LLC. in November 2015. After almost 20 years of experience in small business, Sal has built a reputation for integrity and high customer service and saw an opportunity to bring the same level of quality and customer service to the moving industry. He founded Mass Bay Movers on those principles, since then Mass Bay Movers has grown to two locations, Peabody, MA and Walpole, MA, both of which serve their customers with 12 trucks and 30 dedicated employees.

The entire team at Mass Bay Movers wakes up every day with the goal of serving our customers and making their moves go smoothly.

History Of Mass Bay Movers

2015

Mass Bay Movers was founded by Sal Barresi III. Sal previously managed a family business – Sal’s Clothing Restoration in Everett MA. The Barresi family maintains strong ties to both business to this day!

2016

Mass Bay Movers acquired a 5,000 square foot warehouse in Lynn, 6 full time movers and 3 trucks. Bob Gilmore joins and brings his expertise in the Insurance and Restoration space.

2017

Mass Bay Movers moves HQ from Lynn to Peabody because more space is needed for storage, truck parking and office space. The warehouse in Peabody is 25,000 square foot and houses 6 trucks and 10 movers. Sara Weaver and Julia Barresi join Mass Bay Movers and help to grow the business operationally.

2018

Mass Bay Movers acquires a second 20,000 square foot warehouse in Walpole MA, bringing our total space to 45,000 total square feet. Mass Bay grows to utilize 10 trucks and 15 movers. Mass Bay Movers begins to develop a sound local moving system with the help of Louis Massaro’s Moving Mastery and the collaboration and hard work of Sal, Bob, Julia and Sara.

2019

Mass Bay Movers continues to grow to have 13 trucks and 25 movers. We begin working with New England Prep Schools.

2020 - 2021

Mass Bay Movers maintained strong sales throughout the pandemic and made it out the other side! The local sales system improves with the adaption of the SmartMoving CRM.

2022

Mass Bay Movers Restoration division grows by leaps and bounds and it’s sales and estimation process improves in accuracy and efficiency.

2023

Mass Bay Movers acquired 25,000 more square feet of warehouse space in Peabody and has grown to 20 trucks, 40+ movers and 13 full time office employees!
